Why choose this wheel brush
Wheels are the first thing to get dirty and the last thing to get truly clean. Brake dust is fine, greasy and clings to the metal; leave it for weeks and it bakes on and dulls the finish. Most people who hand wash only clean the face of the wheel and leave the rest, simply because they can't reach it.
This brush is made for those spots. The long, flat head goes where a sponge can't, the plush microfiber carries lots of soap and won't scratch even glossy or machined wheels, and the splash guard saves your knuckles from the rim. Compared with brushes that use plastic bristles, it doesn't leave swirl marks or shed.
It's the right tool if you wash at home or at a self-serve bay and want detailer-level results. Use it with the same bucket and soap as the rest of the car, rinse it in a minute and hang it up to dry. Add it to your wash kit and your wheels will finally match the rest of the car.
Clean wheels all the way back, even behind the spokes
Brake dust builds up right where your hand can't reach: behind the spokes, in the wheel barrel, around the lug nuts. A sponge won't fit, and stiff brushes scratch painted alloy wheels. This wheel brush has a long, flat head of plush microfiber that's 2 in thick but squeezes down to 0.6 in (1.5 cm), so it slips between tight spokes and reaches the back of the barrel. The long handle with an EVA foam grip and a splash guard disc keeps your hand out of the grime.
The benefits at a glance
-
Squeezes down to 0.6 in
The head is 2 in (5 cm) thick, but the microfiber compresses to 0.6 in, so it gets into narrow gaps between spokes and around the brake calipers. -
Long, flat shape
Unlike round brushes, the flat head follows the inside curve of the wheel and cleans the barrel where brake dust collects. -
Plush microfiber that won't scratch
Soft, deep fibers hold plenty of water and soap and lift grime without scratching paint, chrome or machined wheels. -
Splash guard disc
A disc between the head and the grip blocks dirty water and keeps your knuckles off the rim. -
EVA foam grip
Soft and non-slip, even with wet, soapy hands, with a hang hole at the end for drying. -
Removable microfiber cover
The cover slides off the plastic core so you can rinse it thoroughly after each wash.
