Why choose this Bluetooth OBD2 scanner
Every modern car keeps a log of its own problems: when something goes wrong, the computer stores a trouble code and turns on the check engine light. The catch is that you need a scan tool to read it. With this Bluetooth OBD2 scanner, that tool lives in your pocket. Plug it in, open the app, and within a minute you know whether it's a sensor, a loose gas cap or something that really needs a mechanic.
Walking into the shop already knowing the code changes the conversation. You understand what's being recommended, and you don't pay a diagnostic fee only to hear it was nothing. If you fixed it yourself, you clear the code and turn the light off on the spot.
It's just as useful when you're buying a used car: plug it in and check for stored codes before you sign. If you like keeping an eye on your car, you can follow coolant temperature and fuel consumption as you drive. The ELM327 chip works with nearly every OBD2 app, the ABS shell handles -40 to 185 °F, and it's small enough to leave in the port without getting in the way.
Check engine light on? Find out why in a minute
When the check engine light comes on, most people book a shop visit and pay just to find out what the code means. This Bluetooth OBD2 scanner with an ELM327 chip plugs into your car's diagnostic port and sends the data to your phone. With an OBD2 app you read the trouble code, clear it after the fix and watch live engine data. It works on gas cars from 2001 and diesels from 2004, with no cables and no tools.

The benefits at a glance
-
Reads and clears trouble codes
See right away which code turned on the light, then clear it from your phone once the problem is fixed. -
Live engine data
The app shows coolant temperature, fuel consumption, sensor readings and vehicle alerts while the engine runs. -
Wireless over Bluetooth
The scanner stays in the OBD2 port and talks to your phone wirelessly, so there's no cable dangling under the dash. -
ELM327 chip, V1.5
It's the standard most OBD2 apps are built for, so you have plenty of apps to choose from. -
Tough and compact
ABS plastic shell, rated from -40 to 185 °F (-40 to 85 °C) and 9 to 16 V, so it handles a frozen winter morning or a car baking in the sun. -
Gas cars from 2001, diesels from 2004
Plug it in and you're done. Nothing gets wired in or changed on the car's electrical system.
