- Large rectangle 23.5 × 15 cm (9.3 × 5.9 in): a bigger surface to see the whole car seat.
- Oval 24 × 19 cm (9.4 × 7.5 in) or with ears 21 × 18 cm (8.3 × 7.1 in): a softer shape; the ears give it a playful look.
- Round 17 cm (6.7 in), plain or with ears: the most compact, good for small headrests.
- Fabric frame 31 × 22 cm (12.2 × 8.7 in): the largest, with a fabric-covered frame.
- White rectangle 29 × 19 cm (11.4 × 7.5 in): with an LED light and remote, for parents who drive a lot after dark.
How to install
- Pick the back seat where the rear-facing car seat is installed.
- Wrap the straps around that seat's headrest.
- Tighten the straps until the mirror no longer moves.
- Angle the mirror toward the car seat.
- From the driver's seat, adjust your rearview mirror until you can see your baby, then check that the mirror stays put.
Why choose this baby car mirror
For the first months, and often well beyond, your baby rides rear-facing, the safest way to travel. The catch is that you lose sight of their face from the driver's seat. Twisting around at every sound is exactly what you shouldn't do behind the wheel, and you don't always have a passenger along to check. A mirror on the rear headrest fixes that: the car seat shows up in your rearview mirror, and a quick glance is all it takes, just like checking the traffic behind you.
This back seat mirror is shatterproof acrylic in an ABS frame, so there's no glass inches from your child, and it mounts with adjustable straps without touching the upholstery. Pick the shape and size you like, from compact to large, playful designs with ears that little ones love, or the model with an LED light and remote for evening drives.
It's a smart pick for parents doing daycare drop-off solo, for grandparents, and for long road trips with a newborn. It also makes a practical baby shower gift. The mirror helps you keep an eye on your baby, but it doesn't replace supervision.
See your baby without ever turning around
In a rear-facing car seat your baby is right behind you, but from the driver's seat you can't see a thing. Every cry, or a silence that lasts a little too long, makes you want to look back. This baby car mirror straps to the back-seat headrest and puts the car seat right in your rearview mirror. The mirror is shatterproof acrylic, so there's no glass near your child, and the straps adjust to fit. Choose from styles from 17 cm (6.7 in) up to 31 × 22 cm (12.2 × 8.7 in), including one with an LED light and remote.
The benefits at a glance
-
One glance in the rearview mirror
The mirror faces the car seat, so from the driver's seat you can tell if your baby is asleep, playing or just dropped the pacifier, like checking traffic behind you. -
Shatterproof acrylic, not glass
The mirror surface is acrylic and the frame is ABS: even if it gets bumped, it won't break into shards near your child. -
Adjustable headrest straps
The straps wrap around the rear headrest and tighten until the mirror stays put. -
Double strap for extra hold
The rectangular double-strap model (19 × 13.5 cm, 7.5 × 5.3 in) attaches at two points, handy on bumpy roads or wide headrests. -
LED light with remote
The white 29 × 19 cm (11.4 × 7.5 in) rectangle has an LED light you switch on with the remote, so you can still see your baby at night or in a tunnel. -
Lots of shapes and sizes
From a compact round mirror to a large fabric-framed one: pick what suits your headrest.
