How to use
- Turn off the engine and all accessories, then pop the hood.
- Clip the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal and the black clamp to the negative (−): the tester powers on.
- Use the arrows to pick the battery type (standard, AGM, GEL or EFB) and the rating standard on the battery label.
- Enter the CCA rating printed on the battery and press ENTER.
- Read voltage, internal resistance, CCA, charge and health, then remove the black clamp first and the red one second.
Why choose this car battery tester
The battery is the number one reason cars won't start in winter. Cold cuts the current a battery can deliver right when the engine needs the most. An aging battery can seem fine for months and then quit on the first freezing morning. A two-minute check in the fall tells you whether it'll last until spring or whether you should replace it before you're stranded in a parking lot.
This tester goes beyond a voltmeter. It measures internal resistance and cranking amps, compares the battery to the CCA rating on its label and works out its health as a percentage: a real number instead of a hunch. It also handles the AGM and EFB batteries in start-stop cars, which are pricey and worth replacing only when you truly have to.
It's handy for DIYers, families with several vehicles, from cars to motorcycles and RVs, and anyone whose car sits for long stretches. It also keeps you from tossing a good battery just because the car didn't start once.
Know if your battery will make it through winter
A battery doesn't give you a warning. One day the car starts, the next it cranks slowly, and then nothing. A basic voltmeter won't catch it either, because a worn-out battery can still read 12.6 V. This digital car battery tester also measures internal resistance and cold cranking amps (CCA), then shows the battery's state of charge and state of health as a percentage. It works on 12 V and 24 V batteries, including the AGM, GEL and EFB types in start-stop cars.

The benefits at a glance
-
Five readings in one test
Voltage, internal resistance (mΩ), cold cranking amps (CCA), state of charge (SOC %) and state of health (SOH %): you'll know if the battery is just low or actually done. -
12 V and 24 V
Works on 12 V lead-acid batteries in cars and motorcycles, and on 24 V batteries in trucks and work vehicles. -
Standard, AGM, GEL and EFB
Pick the battery type from the menu, including AGM and EFB batteries in start-stop cars, plus the rating standard: CCA, IEC, SAE, EN, DIN or CA. -
Large LCD display
Every reading shows on the screen at once, easy to read at a glance, with a scale that tells you if the battery is good or needs replacing. -
Built-in protection
Overvoltage and reverse-polarity protection: mixing up the clamps won't damage it, and it warns you if a clamp has poor contact. -
Nothing to take apart
Two clamps, red and black, on the terminals and four buttons (arrows, ESC, ENTER, RESET).
